About Chestnut Woods School of Montessori Education
Chestnut Woods School of Montessori Education (CWS) is a co-educational, non-denominational, private school serving the children and community of St. Catharines and the Niagara Region. We offer an educational approach, known as the Montessori Method, that provides a hands-on, experiential approach with an emphasis on independent learning. Chestnut Woods School of Montessori Education is registered with the Ontario Ministry of Education, maintains Ontario Student Records (OSRs) and is a member of the Canadian Council of Montessori Administrators. CWS provides a safe, rich and caring environment for children ages two and a half through nine. Our specialized, accredited teachers are passionate about guiding the learning experiences of the students by challenging their intellect, body and spirit. Class sizes are small to maximize student and teacher interaction. We inspire and motivate in a community spirited environment. Our intention is to help to prepare your child to become a lifelong learner who is a responsible and fully engaged member of the global community.
- Through an aggressive recycling program, CWS has been garbage-free for the past two school years.
