Our Programs
Students learn in a variety of ways, at different rates, at different ages, and their interests vary widely. We believe that the curriculum should be student centered with each child’s mental, physical, emotional and social needs fully considered. Our goal is to assist in developing the whole personality of the child at his/her own natural rate of progress, thus freeing his/her potential for self-development within a prepared environment. Our students develop and maintain a sense of wonder for the world, while they continue to learn.
Our Casa and Elementary classrooms each span three years of development. This allows your child to grow and learn with their peers as well as with children both younger and older than themselves. This has shown to be a very positive factor both socially and academically. Your child will have the opportunity to both lead and learn from others, as well as to learn to interact with children of varying ages. Your child will have the space and freedom to progress at their pace and broaden their knowledge in the subjects that come easier to them, and they are given more time to comprehend those areas that they find more challenging. CWS creates challenging opportunities for creative and artistic expression, personal fitness and health, and leadership.
Respect for the environment and respect for global cultural diversity are fundamental tenets of the school. The staff at CWS assists students in the development of their self-discipline, independence, self-motivation, confidence and sound judgment. The result is the graduation of students with healthy minds, bodies and spirits; creative and balanced young people who become compassionate and responsible citizens.
